Companions Program

ISRD16 Companions Program Participants:

¡Bienvenido!   I’m delighted to welcome you to New Mexico and the beautiful city of Santa Fe. We hope your visit will be fun and enriching. One of my goals for the week is to introduce you to The Real Santa Fe.  This is not necessarily the one you’ve read about in travel brochures, although some things are the same.  It is probably not the one you’ve seen on TV, either.  The Real Santa Fe is something special and I look forward to sharing it with you.

The Companions’ program includes local museums, shopping, cultural sites, restaurants and local history.  For the most part, the timing is flexible so we don’t need to adhere to a strict schedule.  The first item on our agenda will be an open-air tram tour of the historical district in Santa Fe.  We will be visiting these destinations and more:

See the schedule for the daily agenda. The admission for the above activities is included in your registration fee.  Meals are not included.   If you have any issues in terms of mobility, special dietary needs, or other concerns, please let me know.  All locations are within walking distance of the hotel; however, distances vary.  Transportation can be arranged for anyone who needs it.

Many of the activities will be suitable for children, depending on their ages.  Please contact me at the email address below and we can discuss options and possible alternatives.  I am also gathering some resources for you to have on hand in the hotel, including books, art supplies, and some fun activities to keep small hands busy.

So, bring comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and a light jacket.  Plan to have sunscreen because we are at an altitude of about 7200 ft (2200 m).  See you soon!

Cordiales saludos,
Eliana Vehar
